Intake and Admission Process

The first step in the admission process is a phone call to our Admission Coordinator, Keith Kohley, at 808-242-9733, extension 32.  He will talk with you and, if you want, your family members about your needs and treatment options.  Keith will do an intake screening to help determine how to best help you with recovery. 

Once it is determined the best treatment option for you, Keith will work with the staff of the treatment program to facilitate admission. 

If treatment can occur at our clinic, Keith will let you know when you may enter treatment and arrange for orientation to the program.

If residential treatment is indicated:

• You will need a physical exam by a physician prior to admission and Keith will help set that up for you.  

• At that appointment, if medications are indicated to assist with detoxification, you will get the prescription from the physician and have it filled prior to admission.

• A TB clearance within the last year is required and if you have not had that, Keith will assist you in arranging for that test.

As soon as a bed is available, your admission will be scheduled.
