Randol Leach – Aloha House Board President
As President the last two years, it gives me great pride and pleasure to see all that Aloha House does for our community of Maui. We all are so lucky to have such a dedicated and professional Board of Directors and staff working together to carry out the mission of Aloha House. I have personally seen many individuals along with their families benefit from the many programs and services that Aloha House provides. We have grown, accomplished alot, but we still need to grow even more to offer services to everyone who needs them. We are on the right track and with everyone's help, we will get there. Aloha!
Jim Shefte - Treasurer
I have spent the last 40 years in the Hotel Industry here on Maui. Over that period of time I have seen the devastating effects that substance abuse can have on a person’s life. I have seen careers ruined, jobs lost, families broken apart with the end result in more than one case being death. For Maui, Aloha House is the best hope we have to address this ever increasing problem. The group of dedicated management and staff have grown this struggling non profit to a successful well run organization. I am delighted to be associated with it and hope to be part of its continuing success in the future
David Every - Secretary
President and Publisher of EVCom, Inc. Publishing.
David has worked in media for over 20 years including radio and publishing and has owned his own publishing company for much of that time. Familiar with Aloha House since the early ‘80’s, David has long had an interest in helping solve the complex social problems associated with alcohol and drug addiction and was a member of the Mayor’s task force on creating a drug and alcohol free community. On the Aloha House and Malama Family boards for almost two years, David is very gratified to be part of the growth and success of the community programs instituted during his tenure. Says David, “I’m privileged to have been personal witness to the almost miraculous recovery of totally hopeless individuals who have since become productive members of society. What greater reward can there be?”

I am retired, having worked for over 20 years on Maui. My personal experience with drug and alcohol addiction prompt me to be involved. Treating drug and alcohol addiction has many facets. I believe Aloha House is the primary center addressing drug and alcohol addiction in our community. I believe that my being on the board of Aloha House will help to ensure it's continued involvement in our community.

Director (Aloha House, Inc.)
I have served on the Boards of Aloha House and Malama Family Recovery Center for approximately 5 years. My interest in being part of this ohana (“family”) as a board member was the result of my brief but rewarding experience of working in a social services program after retirement. I became very aware of the plight of some of my friends and those whom I associated with in their addiction and substance abuse problems with alcohol or drugs. Being familiar with the wonderful treatment and help that Aloha House and Malama Family Recovery Center provided, this was my way of doing something positive to help. Over these past five years, I have witnessed and been a part of the tremendous growth of services we have provided. There are many in our community who need our help, and we must continue to find ways to ensure that we can meet these needs. By doing this, we can create better futures. - Stephen Kealoha
Bruce Lepolstat, MD - Director
Being a retired physician doesn't mean totally disengaging from medical or social issues. In fact I now have more time to give to volunteer for causes that are dear to my heart. Substance abuse is a global problem that effects almost everyone in one way or another. Being on the board of both Aloha house and Malama Family Recovery Center provides me the opportunity to get involved both on a medical and personal level.
Jerry Welch - Director
I have been on the board of Aloha House for 13 years and have served in numerous capacities during that time. Prior to Malama merging with aloha House I was on that board too and served as president there for four years. I am a retired dentist from La Jolla, California. I have a number of family members that have been affected by alcohol, drugs and mental disease so I have first hand knowledge of the harm they can do and so have chosen to try and help. I served on a treatment center board in California prior to moving here 20 years ago and so brought some of that knowledge with me. I was honored in 2007 by the Cameron center with the Palaka award for community service. I believe these organizations have really helped a lot of individual people, families and our community. I am honored to be a small part of helping that to happen.
