APPLICATION (Download Adobe PDF format) OPEN POSITIONS (Click here) EMAIL General Human Resources Department Assistance and Support Job Title: PROGRAM ASSISTANT Job Description: Part/Full Time positions are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for a diverse client population (residential, transitional, social detoxification, co-occurring disorders, and outpatient). Interacts with clients daily and supports client treatment through planned activities and group meetings. Serves as transportation and clerical support as needed. Job Requirements: High School graduate or GED equivalent. One year working with clients in substance abuse treatment or treatment for compulsive behavior disorders preferred. Able to: communicate effectively with staff and management verbally and in writing; show initiative; solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations that may arise. Job Title: COUNSELORS (Adult Residential and Outpatient) Job Description: Full time positions are responsible for clinical casework, and group work services to individuals and families requiring assistance dealing with substance abuse problems, such as alcohol or drug abuse. Counselors facilitate group, individual and family counseling sessions; develop and implement treatment plans and modify with changes in client status; facilitates skill building and educational seminars for clients and their families; participates in treatment team case meetings; may as needed coordinate activities with courts, probation officers, community services and other post-treatment services. Job Requirements: B.A. in psychology or related behavioral science field and at least two years of paid work experience in a drug/alcohol treatment program working with chemically dependent persons, co-dependents and family members including children and youth preferred OR Job Title: COUNSELORS (Adolescent School Based) Job Description: Part/Full Time positions are responsible for counseling and aiding adolescents and their families requiring assistance dealing with substance abuse problems, such as alcohol or drug abuse. Provide school-based substance abuse treatment to adolescents to include group and individual counseling, substance abuse education, psychosocial skills, recovery tools and healthy coping skills, and family counseling. Job Requirements: B.A. in psychology or related behavioral science field and at least two years of paid work experience in a drug/alcohol treatment program working with chemically dependent persons, co-dependents and family members including children and youth preferred OR Job Title: THERAPISTS (Residential Adult Co-Occurring Disorder) Job Description: Full-time position is responsible for providing clinical interventions including individual, group, and family therapy to clients with dual diagnosis. Completes related assessments, recovery plans and discharge summaries, and related quality assurance tasks. Supports client treatment through planned activities and group meeting. Provides direct counseling and psychotherapeutic services to clients who are participating in the program through evaluation, crisis intervention, and brief individual, group psychotherapy, and family therapy. Job Requirements: Master’s degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. A minimum of two (2) years experience in providing psychotherapy interventions to adults who have serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders, preferably in a residential or day treatment environment. State of Hawaii Licensure or working towards LMFT, LCSW. Job Title: REGISTERED NURSE Job Description: Part/Full time positions are responsible for general transcription of medication orders and the dispensing of medications, maintaining written records of consumer’s vital signs, sick calls, and coordinates client’s medical appointments. Assists with the smooth transition of clients into Residential treatment or back to community resource. Ability to: read and interpret documents such as medication orders, operation instructions and procedure manuals; communicate effectively with staff and management; function effectively both independently and as a member of a team. Job Requirements: BSN or RN Minimum of one (1) year of paid work experience in a drug/alcohol treatment program working with chemically dependent persons, co-dependents and family members including children and youth is preferred. One (1) year experience working in a detoxification program preferred. Job Title: MENTAL HEALTH WORKER (Licensed Crisis Residential Services) Job Description: Full time position is responsible for coordination and intake of clients in need of immediate care and stabilization. Provide as needed individual and group counseling; assists in planning and supervising schedule of daily activities; facilitates and documents client progress, including counseling sessions, medical information and general progress. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of twelve (12) semester credit hours in counseling, criminal justice, human services, psychology, social work, social welfare, sociology or other related behavioral health field. One and one half (1½) years of specialized experience in above field. One to two years of experience working in substance abuse treatment centers preferred Job Title: COOKS (Residential Facility) Job Description: Part/Full time position is responsible for the preparation and cooking of meals for clients, staff, and guests of agency. Cooks in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served including client and staff meals, special activities, and celebrations. Adheres to cooking procedures that promote conservation of nutritive values, economic utilization of available supplies and, compliance with proper sanitation procedures and other appropriate regulations. Job Requirements: H.S. diploma or GED. AA in Culinary preferred. At least one year of responsible experience that includes quantity and quality cooking, and kitchen organization. Job Title: CRISIS MOBILE OUTREACH WORKER Job Description: Full time position facilitates linkage with mental health services in response to crisis calls. Identifies client’s needs, stabilizes client and develops a crisis plan with supports needed, and assists them in returning to their pre-crisis level of functioning. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of twelve (12) semester credit hours in counseling, criminal justice, human services, psychology, social work, social welfare, sociology or other related behavioral health field. One and one half (1½) years of specialized experience in above field. One to two years of experience working in substance abuse treatment centers preferred. Job Title: CRISIS SUPPORT MANAGEMENT WORKER Job Description: Full time position that responds to referrals within 24 hours. Provides screening, assessment and identifies client’s needs; links client to services needed to stabilize and recover from a crisis situation; develop and implement post-crisis plans that outlines support needed to return to life activities. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of twelve (12) semester credit hours in counseling, criminal justice, human services, psychology, social work, social welfare, sociology or other related behavioral health field. One and one half (1½) years of specialized experience in above field. One to two years of experience working in substance abuse treatment centers preferred.
